Geography : Unit 3 Population
Welcome back guys!

We are doing them!
After our Geography exam we start a new one about the population in the countries. Is very interesting discover some factors like the birth rate or the general fertility rate. However , here is the new vocabulary
Development : How something is going on.
Droughts: An age were the is no rain.
Onwards: English expression that that means that after something another thing is going to happens
Unevenly: Not the same.
Famine: Starvation( Hungry, but it doesn't mean to Be hungry. Some people around the world can't eat any food for days , just because they are too poor and in their countries there isn't food)
Epidemic: When a virus expands and affect a lot of population.
As you know, the unit is about population,Here is a document about how to calculate the birth rate, death rate, etc,
Here are some definition:
Birth rate:Total number of births divided per the total population per 1000
Death rate: The total numbers of deaths divided all the population per 1000
Natural increase : The birth rate minus the death rate
Infant mortality rate: refers to deaths of young children (less than one year old)
life expentansy Statical measure of the average time a person is expected ti life
birth control allow us to prevent pregnancy
dependent population group of people who of the reference date where in a situation
dependency ratio :Show the number of dependence people aged zero to 14 and over age of 65.
family planning controlling the number of children a family and the period of time before a son and another
population pyramids/ age-gender structures graphical illustration that shows the distributions of various aged group in a population which the forms which forms the shape population pyramids
replacement rate percentage of workers pre-retirement
fertility rate is the number of live births divided the numbers of women ages 15-49
ageing population when the median age of a country increases the life expenstansy and declining the fertility rate
population distribution measure of population density
population density the arrangement of people living in given areas
a more economically developed country(MEDC)
Less economically developed country (LEDC)
