THIRD TERM VOCABULARY


HIII GUYS!!!!!!

The end of the third (and last) term is just about to finish and I'm quite exited but at the same time very worried. But, I'll speak about that in other post. Here is the vocabulary we have been studied.

UNIT 5 

Phoney: Fake money 
Bookmark: In the web, mark a page so is easier to find it the next time 
Diplomacy: The gift of knowing how to deal with somebody, so you don't offended him/her 
Consideration: behaviour correctly and politeness with somebody
Netiquette rules and manners than must be followed in the Internet 
Rank: Status level


UNIT 6 

Spotlight 
Newcomer : recently arrived 
Deny: 
Boast: speak proudly of yourself 


UNIT 7 

Come across: meet someone suddenly
get away :run away 
get off : Go down from something (a train, a plane etc) 
get on : Go up to something (A train) 
see off: Say goodbye
set off: Start a travel 
speed up: Doing things quickly
stop over : Stop during a travel for relax 
take off: when a plane starts to work
turn back : Go back again due to an important reason that don't allow you to continue your travel 
blizzard:

VOCABULARY UNIT 4: LIVE WELL


HEEEEEEEEELLOOOOOO

We have started a new unit!!!! it's unit 4 and its call Live Well, I'm so exited because this is one of my favourites topics : take care of yourself by doing exercise and eat well!!!

we have seen some phrasal verbs (oh, glorious phrasal verbs, worldwide loved) like 

calm down: became calmer, after an argument try to relax 
cheer up: make someone happier 
chill out: relax, (informal phrasal verbs)
cut down : reduce (bad habits mostly)
face up to: confront, try to fix your problems 
open up: try to share your feeling and tell somebody (close-people) about your thoughts and feelings 
slow down: keep calm, try to relax when you are so anxious
work out: training 

also we've  seen differents types of aches and pain 

aching muscles : Hurting muscles (due different factors) 
allergic reaction: when your skin swell and appears rash due to some "somethings" like food, fur, flowers that cause a  rejection from your body 
broken leg: 


bruised knee: bruises are these dark spots that appear in our skin when we hit with something 

dislocated shoulder : when a join is displace (in this case, our shoulder) 
itchy skin: When due to a reaction you have red skin and you cant stop scratching it
sprained wrist: injure a joint , in this case the wrist  
stiff neck: when you can't move your neck , it's rigid 
swollen ankle: due to a fall a join become inflamed 


another vocabulary that we learnt were words like 
grumpy: someone who is upset all the time

anxious: someone who is always nervous an worried about something

sleepy

UNIT 3: POWER TO THE PEOPLE


HIIIIIIIIII!!!!
I'm back and this time I promess post more often

One of the units we have seen is Unit 3 so here it is

wireless: That doesn't need any wire to be connected to a device
Boost: increase something (in this context batteries energy)
Run: operate, maintain a machine (It's similar to the verb Run, that meas move quickly, sprints and jog)
A must-see: sometime you would see once in your live (per example, if you go to chine a must- see is the Great Wall because you probably aren´t to go again)

How are you guys ? I`m quite overwhelmed with all the exams, projects and school stuff but everything pass passn´t it?

We have started a new unit!! Starter unit.
