And new unit means new vocabulary and new structures!!!!


VOCABULARY

worth it: that something you did is grateful for you so you don't regret about did it.

lend: when someone asked you to borrow something , you lend that person what he ask.

brand: Nike, Adidas, Apple

waste your money: spend money with no control and in unnecessary things.

close down: When a shop is going to close, they usually close down , similar than sales.

you can't get a refound: When you buy something and you don't like it, you decide to go back to the shop for take back your money, but in some shops you can't get a refound!

Book: Two explorers.

Hi guys!

In these term my grade are going to read an English book call Two explores , who narrate the story of two famous explores : Marco Polo and Roald Amundsen.


                                                   



In this post is where I'm going to post all the new vocabulary I will learn reading the book.

Raised: Two meanings: 1) Elevated.

                                         2) In the book means took someone in . Be in charge of someone.

                                               Ex: Marco Polo was raised by his aunt and uncle.

1-Africa is the continent located in the south of Europe and shout-west of Asia.




2-Africa is 30 million square kilometres (11,7 million square miles) which is 3 times the size of the United States.






3-The Savanna are the wide open grasslands of Africa, is a grassy plain which cover nearly half of the continent The Savanna is characterised by scattered trees among a landscape of grasses and shrubs .

The coloured part is the Savanna.


4- In the Savanna biome we can found: are the giraffes and elephants, animals that are usually associated with Africa.




5-The chaparral biome is located in the north coast of Africa long the Mediterranean and some in Shouth Africa too.

The green part is where Chaparral is located.


6-The most famous deserts are the Sahara desert (The hottest desert in the world), the Namib desert and the Kalahari desert

7-The natural resources of Africa are the gold mines, the robber trees and the oil.

4. It is not the rain itself that’s particularly important, it’s also the biodiversity There are many different plants and animals spices That can be found in the rain forest and that’s one of the thing that makes the rain forest so valuable not just in Africa but throughout the Earth.
5. The Nile is the most famous river in Africa, because is the longest river in the world. But there is also the Congo river which is the ninth longest river in the world.
6. Africa actually has its own version of the Great Lakes with famous lakes like Lake Malawi, lake Victoria and lake Tanganyika as well.
7. All the Africa is a plateau. Meaning that Africa itself is an elevated land. But that doesn’t mean you can’t find any mountains in Africa. You can find mountain ranges like, for example, the Atlas Mountains in northwestern Africa.
8. Africa also has some interesting mountains like Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa which seems to just rise on it own out of the ground
9. The Great Rift Valley refers to a region of Africa that is literally, being split apart. There are some tectonic plates that are located within or near Africa, that are, actually, moving away from each other, and what’s doing is creating not just some of the highest elevation in Africa, but also lakes like Lake Tanganyika that is among the deepest in the world.
